West Jordan Man Wins Golf Date with Touring Pro in Sorenson Champions Challenge

SALT LAKE CITY, UT (July 2, 2007) — The Sorenson Group of Real Estate Companies, title sponsor of Sorenson Champions Challenge charity golf event, today announced that Grant Wallace, of West Jordan, Utah, won the "Golf With a Pro" contest drawing held Saturday at the Grand Opening ceremony for Rosecrest Village in Herriman.

"I can't believe I won," said Wallace, "I never thought I would ever have the opportunity to play golf with a touring pro. I'd better start practicing more and try to improve my game a little before the big day."

To be held Aug. 20-21, 2007, Sorenson Champions Challenge is Utah's premier golfing charity fundraiser now in its tenth year at Thanksgiving Point Golf Course. The event is hosted by World Golf Hall of Fame member Johnny Miller. In past years the challenge has drawn such golf greats as Jack Nicklaus, Annika Sorenstam, Billy Casper, Sergio Garcia, Gary Player, Lee Trevino, Fuzzy Zoeller and Hale Irwin, as well as celebrities such as Bill Murray, Vince Gill, Kenny G, LaVell Edwards and Danny Ainge.

This year's Sorenson Champions Challenge begins with a pro-am tournament on Aug. 20 that matches each foursome with one professional, partner, or golfing celebrity in a team scramble format. Wallace will play in a foursome in this event with a to-be-announced PGA Tour pro, Champions Tour pro, or LPGA Tour pro. On Aug. 21, the Sorenson Champions Challenge format changes to twosomes competing in a scramble format.

"It's really a treat to be able to give away to a recreational golfer this once-in-a-lifetime chance to play with a touring pro," said James Lee Sorenson, CEO of The Sorenson Group. The contest winner's name was pulled in a drawing held at the Grand Opening ceremony of Rosecrest Village, a community of new homes on Salt Lake Valley's scenic southwest bench.

Recreational golfers still have one more contest to enter if they want to win an opportunity to play in a foursome with a touring pro in the upcoming Sorenson Champions Challenge, Sorenson said. The winner of this second contest will play golf with Johnny Miller in the Aug. 20 pro-am. The contest begins today and ends in a drawing during Media Day at Thanksgiving Point Golf Course on Aug. 16, 2007.
