SALT LAKE CITY (March 6, 2007) — The Sorenson Group of Real Estate Companies today announced it will be the title sponsor for this year's charity pro golf tournament at Thanksgiving Point Golf Club, an annual event that for the past three years has been named Nokia Champions Challenge. Scheduled for Aug. 20-21, 2007, the tournament is in its tenth year and has seen such golf greats participate as Jack Nicklaus, Annika Sorenstam, Billy Casper, Sergio Garcia, Gary Player, Lee Trevino, Fuzzy Zoeller and Hale Irwin. Celebrities Bill Murray, Vince Gill, Kenny G, LaVell Edwards, Danny Ainge and many others also have played in the charity golf event that celebrates family by pairing many famous golfers with their sons and daughters or brothers and sisters.

"Sorenson Champions Challenge will be a wonderful opportunity for everybody to have fun watching great golf and help raise money for a worthy cause at the same time," said James Lee Sorenson, president and CEO of The Sorenson Group. "We're especially delighted to present this particular charity golf tournament with its rich history of celebrating family because we do our best to help build family-oriented communities in our real estate developments. We feel this event is a great fit for us." The four Sorenson real estate companies presenting the Sorenson Champions Challenge are Rosecrest, Rosecrest Village, Jordanelle Ridge and The Pointe.

The program for the two days of golfing events will be similar to last year. The challenge begins on Mon., Aug. 20, with a pro-am tournament that matches each foursome with one professional, partner, or golfing celebrity in a team scramble format. On the following day, the Sorenson Champions Challenge is played by twosomes competing in a scramble format.

"The Champions Challenge always has a first-class roster of people involved in planning it and playing in it," said Johnny Miller, founder and host. "We have been very fortunate to be able to bring some of the greatest names in golf to Utah. And it's a great event for the fans because the pros are easily accessible for photos and autographs."

The Thanksgiving Point Golf Club, a Johnny Miller Signature Golf Course, is one of the state's premier golfing venues. Set on 200 grassy acres, the 7,728-yard course was ranked the top public golf club in Utah by Golf Digest and one of fifteen "hidden gems" in the U.S. by Links Magazine.

Tickets will be sold in advance and at the gate, with a specially priced family package available. All proceeds go to charity.
